As a membership organization, CMAA is governed by members to serve members. Standing and special committees (i.e., task forces, at-conference and/or ad hoc committees) are an important part of CMAA’s leadership structure and vital to its success. Committee members lend their expertise to the issues, programs and governance that keep the Association current and strategic in serving members, the profession and the industry at large.
Each of the standing committees includes Professional Alumnus members and non-member stakeholders who are selected and approved to serve by the CMAA President. Special committees are also approved by the Board of Directors to focus on specific issues for a defined period of time and may include members or non-member stakeholders appointed by the CMAA President.
If interested in applying for 2017 committee service work, you can apply here as well as review the Committee Service Guidelines for information regarding the expectations, eligibility and appointment process for committee members.
Please note that volunteering for national committee service is a separate and distinct process from running for election to the CMAA National Board of Directors.
