Brief Job Description

Home to the Masters, this world-renowned Club is searching for a superstar to join our team as an Assistant Clubhouse Manager. The primary responsiblities of the Assistant Clubhouse Manager, will be to oversee all services provided by the following departments: Locker Rooms, Transportation, Laundry and Housekeeping with a heavy emphasis on the Club's 100 room Lodging Operation. This position is responsible for assuring the absolute highest level of service and attention to detail in all areas, while maintaining the utmost level of integrity and strictest confidentiality of all Club business.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Works directly with the Clubhouse Manager to oversee the daily management of our Lodging Operation, Three Locker Rooms, House Attendants, Chauffeurs, Laundry Attendants and Housekeepers.
  • Provide the highest quality service and products to our members and guests, at all times. 
  • Works in conjunction with Clubhouse Manager to develop world class training programs, focused on the finer points of service, for all employees (both new and existing) and ensures the execution of such programs.  
  • Possess a great attention to detail, prior experience in auditing overnight accommodations and other member spaces, would be a distinct advantage. 
  • Interfaces with the members and guests, always assuring the highest level of satisfaction.
  • Actively communicates to all front and heart-of-house employees any pertinent information, including: policy changes, service standards, event schedules, Human Resources guidelines, and other related topics.
  • Directly oversees all prescribed areas ensuring that the team is knowledgeable of the day’s activities and is performing in accordance with all Club standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Works in conjunction with Clubhouse Manager to analyze budgets, staffing and general operating guidelines for all Club Departments. Makes recommendations for improvements in each area.
  • Provides appropriate reports to the Clubhouse Manager concerning employee hours/overtime, scheduling, job changes, and any coaching opportunities.
  • Works in conjunction with the Clubhouse Manager to develop and implement financial objectives for all departments.
  • Works with Club’s Housekeeping, Laundry and Locker Room Supervisors to ensure all service, inventory and quality standards are met.
  • Assures the appearance, standards, cleanliness, temperature, and proper set-up of all areas. 
  • Participates in on-going facility inspections throughout his/her designated areas insuring that cleanliness, safety and other standards are consistently met, reports any deficiencies to the Clubhouse Manager.
  • Receives, investigates and acts immediately upon any member or guest complaint.  Advises the management of complaints and implements immediate corrective action.  Assists in developing and implementing remedial preventive actions.
  • Assists in facilitating the Masters tournament including, but not limited to, member and player services, sponsor hospitality, Berckmans Place operations, staffing and training.
  • Will be required to serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) in a rotation with the Clubhouse Manager and other Assistant Managers.  This will require flexible schedules, working various nights and weekends.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum of three years hospitality management experience in a prestigious hotel, club, restaurant, or resort.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field is required.
  • Related professional certification is preferred.

Required License(s):

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully complete the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program
