Kenwood Golf and Country Club, an upscale, beautiful country club in the heart of Bethesda, is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail-oriented person for the position of Assistant Catering Director. The primary responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Meet with our members and/or their guests to help organize, implement and actualize their specialty events.
- Passion for exceeding our members and their guests’ needs, wants and expectations.
- Schedule on-site tours.
- Take reservations from the membership for any and all club-organized events.
- Develop and maintain event spreadsheets, floor plans and seating arrangements as needed (must be knowledgeable in Excel, Word and Publisher).
- Generate, maintain and distribute all B.E.O. sheets.
- Work closely with our Executive Chef, Director of Housekeeping, Banquet Captain and all other staff members that need assistance from Catering Department.
- Generate account invoices for the billing department.
- Take full charge of the department when the Catering Director is out of the office.
- Build a professional team working closely with the Catering Director.
This position requires working weekends and holidays.
The ideal candidate would posses a minimum experience of one year in a hotel and/or private club with a good understanding of the culture of the club business. In addition, the successful applicant will have some combination of these experiences and traits:
