Special Club Features

Prestigious city club established in 1855 with 350 members.  Members are accustomed to superior food and service with an extensive selection of fine wines.  The wine cellar is home to over 400 labels and the club procures wine future's yearly from Bordeaux and Burgundy. Open Monday thru Friday for Lunch and prearranged dinners.  The club also has a substancial off site catering business, which is an important revenue stream.  The club has only had three Manager's in the last 84 years.  Wilmington is a financial center of the country and home to many of America's companies.  It is an attractive residential city with strong cultural institutions, schools, world class museums and gardens. 

Club is open 5 days per week, 12 months per year.

Director of Dining Services

Brief Job Description

The Director of Dining Services works with the Assistant Manager and the Chefs to maintain the standards of excellence and reputation of the club.  Hires, trains and supports the staff in all food and beverage operations.  Helps maintain a world class wine cellar with over 400 labels and assists in procuring wine futures yearly, from Bordeaux and Burgundy.  Meets with chefs daily to reveiw menus and events.  Conducts pre-shift meetings with service staff to ensure a complete understanding of the tasks ahead.

Candidate Qualifications

Must be a team player

Willing to check ego at the door

Willing to learn 

Must be passionate about the hospitality business

Wine knowledge is a plus
