Brief Job Description

Job Summary:

Assist members and prospects to live a healthy way of life by encouraging their involvement in fitness & nutrition through membership options, programs and services. Increase membership base by enrolling new members and maximizing retention. Assist members with account maintenance and articulate an extensive knowledge of membership options, products and services. Generate revenue to the Center through honest and enthusiastic membership and program prospecting, sales and genuine hospitality.

Candidate Qualifications

Specifications

  • Experience Minimum Required: 3 years managing a sales team.
  • Experience Preferred/Desired: 2 years of fitness industry sales and managing a sales team.
  • Experience managing a Customer Relations Management Technology system. 
  • Two years fitness center experience with sales management, contact management, productivity, and member relations. 
  • Education Minimum Required:  Bachelor’s Degree.   

Education Preferred/Desired:

Special Skills Minimum Required:

  • Must be proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word.

Special Skills Preferred/Desired:

  • Professional Certification in CPR & AED.
  • Design and execute marketing plans.
  • Coordinate strategic marketing and advertising plans to build brand & value.
  • Attend educational workshops; review professional publications; establish personal networks; benchmark state-of-the-art practices.
  • Must be proficient in all membership aspects Club Automation such as agreement management and approvals, Profile management, Account Status, Prospect Management, and Membership Reports.
  • Establish professional networks and demonstrate a commitment to embracing clinical integration with the hospital.

Licensure and/or Certification Required: 

  • CPR within 3 months of hire.
