Banquet Manager
Brief Job Description
The Banquet Manager is responsible for the setup and execution of all events held at the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club. This role requires a leader that is able to manage a team of 20-30 staff in proper service for various events such as golf tournaments, meetings, wine dinners, weddings and parties
Candidate Qualifications
The most important quality that the Banquet Mnager will possess is leading the banquet team with integrity and efficency.
Other responsibilities are listed below:
Setup and breakdown of all event spaces
Preparation for all events, including sidework
Meal service execution for various event types (buffets, stations, plated. etc.)
Interviewing and hiring of staff, maintenance of the events team
Training of all Banquet staff
Weekly staff schedule
Opening and Closing of the facility
Maintaining Banquet equipment Inventory
Maintaining uniform inventory
Ordering Linens for the banqueting department
Responsible for all Banquet alcohol sales, including monitoring of all guest consumption, cash sales and POS entries
Maintaining clean and orderly event spaces, both front- and back of house
Applicants must have reliable transportation.
College degree preferred, but applicable experience will also be considered.
This is a full-time position.
