Cullasaja Club is a private gated Club and Community with 288 homes on 685 acres nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Located at 4,200 above sea level, Cullasaja is the perfect place to escape the summer’s heat.
Just 2.5 hours north of Atlanta the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau is nationally renowned for its beautiful scenic vistas and cool summer temperatures. Renovated in 2019, Cullasaja has top notch facilities to match a top notch membership and atmosphere.

The Resident Director is a seasonal position from May to November who is responsible for Managing an Employee Housing of 20 Units with up to 45 occupants. Daily responsibilities include: Maintaining Housing, Planning and Implementing our Monday Excursion Program, Ride Coordination and Operation of our 15 Passenger Van, as well as some service inside the club. The Resident Director works with F&B Manager and F&B Director to uphold Cullasaja Standards. They are empowered to make "Memorable and Remarkable" moments for the staff and membership alike.
- Ensure safety of interns at residence and during excursions
- Plans on campus community events on Sunday evenings
- Plans off campus excursions on Mondays.
- Operates within the Excursion Budget.
- Maintains the van rules, regulations and safety.
- Drives employees to and from necessary destinations.
- Assist with alternate transporting methods when necessary.
- Coordinates end of season departures including airport runs for staff
- Handles pick up of any necessary supplies for clubhouse including party rentals, decorations, etc.
- Adheres to Cullasaja Safety Protocol in any potentially dangerous situation.
- Implements and enforces rules and regulations for housing.
- Keeps housing grounds clean through resident supervision and weekly cleanings including but not limited to laundry room, gazebo, outside grounds and inside units.
- Resolves residence problems, if unable then reports to Supervisors then HR.
- Maintains the proper maintenance of housing through inspection, reports and repair.
- Creates programs to ensure an enjoyable living experience for employee residents
- Responsible for cleanliness of units and facilitates after resident check out including End of Season cleaning of all units.
- Greets and seats members and guests according to reservations and sections or rotations
- Upholds all Cullasaja Standards inside club
- Serves and bartends as needed including but not limited to Croquet, Special Events and A La Carte Service
- Receives and resolves complaints concerning dining room service.
- Assures that the dining room and other club areas are secure at the end of the business day if acting as closing manager
- Performs other appropriate assignments & projects as required by the Food & Beverage Manager
- Provides insight and suggestions for program to improve the residence program.
