Golf Facilities

  • 18 hole course, par 72, designed by Bob Cupp & Jerry Pate
Grasslands is know in Central Florida for quality golf experiences. The Course hosts the Korn-Ferry Tour Qualifying tournament, is host course to the Florida Southern College Golf Teams and Southeastern University Golf Teams. The course is private and traditional Member-Golf events are held.

There are five har-tru and two hard courts. The hard courts are configured for four pickleball courts.

Special Club Features

Grasslands is located in the heart of a master planned community that is mostly built out.  Lakeland is a great town for families with a slower pace than the surrounding coastal and larger metropolitan areas.  The Membership is active year around and less than10% of the membership are "snowbirds" and are very supportive of the staff.  The demographics are a mix of younger families, executives, and retirees.  

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.

Brief Job Description

Grasslands is looking to add a postion who will manage aspects of the Clubhouse, focusing primarily on food and beverage service, and the also the restaurant operations at the Swim & Tennis Club.  The successful candidate will be required to hire, supervise and train staff in in the excellence in service standards set forth by Club and ensure the staff consistently performs at or above the expected standards. He or She must be visible in all areas of the F&B and Clubhouse operations.  This position will directly oversee the Kitchen, F&B Department, Housekeeping and Building Maintenance staffs.  Required to work weekends, holidays and nights and be highly visible on the floor during service periods.  Previous experience in private club management preferred with demonstrated success in team building and supervisory skills. 

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, hands-on manager, and a leader by example who intrinsically spreads warm hospitality throughout the Club.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Experience in the Private Club or Resort/Hospitality industry is preferred
  • A proven work history with a verifiable track record of upward career progression is preferred
  • An active CMAA Member and/or PGA of America Member is preferred
  • Ability to demand excellence through the setting of clearly articulated team goals 
  • A documented history of operating excellence in F&B departments that are in a Club/High-End setting

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree  with a Hospitality, Culinary, Marketing or Business background is preferred but not required
  • CMAA Educational Experience and/or PGA of America Educational Experience in the Management Career Path
