Royal Poinciana Golf Club (RP) is a unique private golf club established 1969. We are a premier country club that enjoys a healthy wait list to become a Member. The 75,000-square foot Clubhouse offers the membership a full country club facility and includes eight dining rooms, dance floors and a bandstand, two cocktail areas, two living rooms, a world class kitchen, men’s and ladies’ locker room facilities, tennis and golf pro shops and administrative offices. The Clubhouse and its amenities are available exclusively for the enjoyment of RP Members and their guests. The Club also features two Arthur Hills designed golf courses consisting of 360 acres which is also an Audubon Sanctuary. RP also features nine hydro grid soft tennis courts and a contoured heated swimming pool.
The Club is open year-round. Food and Beverage sales exceed four million dollars and the Club employs over 200 employees in high season.

At RP, you will have the opportunity to enhance your hospitality career by working with our amazing Director of Clubhouse Operations, Scott Haegele and his extraordinary Food & Beverage team. Scott has a vast amount of experience working with prestigious companies such as the Greenbrier Hotel, the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, and Augusta National Golf Club.
Scott started at RP as our Executive Chef, recreating and enhancing our culinary delights, which led him to become our Director of Clubhouse Operations within a short four years. Last year as our Executive Chef, he was featured in Golf Kitchen magazine, showcasing his talents and describing our newly renovated “every chef’s dream” 15,000-square-foot kitchen (www.golfkitchen.com). Last season, our food & beverage team increased food & beverage revenues by over $1Million dollars, making it one of the best private restaurants and most sought-after Country Clubs in Naples!

Educational Requirements
Professional Expectations:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Head Bartender, Sommelier, or similar qualified management position at an upscale private Club, Hotel, or Restaurant with a thorough understanding of wine and food pairing, along with spirits
- Prefer a two-year college degree or sommelier certification or demonstrated equivalent in education and experience
- Prior experience mentoring and managing a team
- Promote and assist in the performance of daily operations, functions, and services
- Assure high standards for member and guest satisfaction
- Ambitious to learn and advance career
- Engaging personality, professional, and respectful
This is a full-time, year-round, exempt, salaried position. Pay range is based upon education and experience.
