Haissam Baityeh, CCM, CCE
Haissam Baityeh, CCM (Certified Club Manager), CCE (Certified Chief Executive), was elected to the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) Board of Directors at its 2023 World Conference and Club Business Expo, held in Orlando, FL. He was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for a three-year term.
Baityeh currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Washington Golf & Country Club in Arlington, VA. Prior to that appointment, he served in the same role at The Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, SC; Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas, TX; the Governors Club in Chapel Hill, NC; and Cape Fear Country Club in Wilmington, NC. He began his career at Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte, NC. Baityeh is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BS in Hospitality Administration. Additionally, he holds an MBA in Hospitality Management from Louisiana State University.
Baityeh first joined CMAA in 1991. He earned his CCM designation in 1995 and achieved his CCE designation in 2008. In 2021, he became a CMAA Fellow. He has volunteered on several CMAA national committees including the Election, Conference, Professional Development Research, and Strategic Planning Committees. In 2024, he will co-chair the Communications Committee.
On the chapter level, Baityeh has been active as an officer in the Carolinas and Texas Lone Star Chapters.
As a CMAA Board member, Baityeh will work together with the membership, National Committees and Task Forces, Partners, and the National Headquarters team to advance the profession and the broader industry collaboratively.
