2025 Secretary-Treasurer
Joseph Krenn, CCM, CCE
Joseph Krenn, CCM (Certified Club Manager), CCE (Certified Chief Executive), was installed as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) Board of Directors at its 2025 World Conference and Club Business Expo, held in Tampa, FL, in February. He was elected by the CMAA Board of Directors at its 2024 spring meeting. Krenn was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2020 and re-elected in 2023.
Krenn has served as the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of Farmington Country Club since 2012. Prior to that appointment, he served at the Town Club, Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA, at the Ansley Golf Club in Atlanta, GA, and at the Carnegie Abbey Club in Portsmouth, RI. Krenn is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a AS in Recreation/Leisure Management and a BS in Hospitality Management. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University.
Krenn first joined CMAA in 1998 as a Student Member at Johnson & Wales University (Providence, RI). He earned his CCM designation in 2006 and achieved his CCE designation in 2017. He has volunteered on national committees including the Career Services, Certification, Communications, Chapter/Member Services, Elections, Membership, Nominating, Professional Development, Research, and Strategic Planning Committees. In 2025, he will chair the Audit and Budget & Finance Committees and serve on the Conference Committee.
Within the local community, Krenn has been active in the Georgia, New England, and Virginias CMAA Chapters. He is also an active leader with the Salvation Army in Charlottesville, VA, and serves as a Board Member for the National Leadership Academy in Denver, CO.
As CMAA Secretary-Treasurer, Krenn will collaborate with the membership, National Committees and Task Forces, Partners, and the National Headquarters team to advance the profession and foster a thriving club industry by supporting CMAA-educated professionals.
