CMAA’s 2024 Membership Year is Coming to an End

CMAA’s membership year ends on October 31. Please encourage your Chapter members to renew their memberships at their earliest convenience so they do not incur any late fees that may be assessed in the future.

All check payments should be mailed to CMAA’s lockbox address:
Club Management Association of America
PO Box 37626
Baltimore, MD 21297-3626

Additionally, please remind them that they can save time and renew online with their credit card by logging into their CMAA profile page.

If you know of any unemployed managers who are actively looking for a job in the industry, please have them contact Alanna Eckard to see if they qualify for a deferment of their dues (Continuation status).

If you or your Chapter members have any questions concerning membership renewals for 2025, please email the Membership Department or call 703-739-9500.

Thank you. We look forward to yet another great membership year!

Standing Together with the Victims of Hurricanes Helene & Milton

Hurricanes Helene and Milton have caused widespread devastation, impacting countless lives across several states, including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Many individuals, including club staff and their families, have been severely affected, facing challenges such as property damage, loss of homes, and disruption to their daily lives.

In the wake of this tragedy, several CMAA Chapters have risen to the occasion, taking immediate action to help those affected. These Chapters have organized efforts to collect and distribute funds, demonstrating the power of our community and the importance of standing together during difficult times. The funds being raised will go directly to those individuals who need it most, ensuring that the support reaches the club staff and their families impacted by this catastrophic event.

To support these efforts, CMAA and The Club Foundation have each contributed $10,000 to the organized efforts in the Carolinas, Florida, and Georgia Chapters to help these individuals to rebuild their homes and lives.

CMAA members can contribute directly to these efforts:

Carolinas Chapter Effort:

Florida Chapter Effort:

Find Your Next Team Member with CMAA ClubCareers

Hiring the best mid-management personnel is vitally important for your club. They are often the first line of communication to many of the departments in your facility. Tasked with making the club run smoothly, most GMs and COOs have spent part of their career learning and honing their skills at the mid-management level.

Should you be in the need to fill one of these vital roles in your organization, be sure to list your club's mid-management positions on CMAA to recruit the best personnel for your club.

Showcase the Club Management Profession

Share the #ChooseClubs videos and to get the word out about this amazing industry and aid your club and Chapter recruitment efforts!

The first video in the series, #ChooseClubs, offers a two-minute overview on the club industry and why this niche of hospitality industry has a place for everyone.

The second video in the series, Voices of Club Management, focuses on the perspectives of individuals working in the industry. Hear directly from club management professionals about:

  • What makes the club industry a fulfilling place to work?
  • What can't you get in any other sector of hospitality?
  • Why are clubs everything you loved about restaurants but better?
  • Do you want to work in an industry where creativity is fostered, and every day is different?

Both videos are part of the #ChooseClubs campaign that CMAA is promoting to current students, hospitality faculty, and others interested in the field. The #ChooseClubs videos have been viewed nearly 3,000 times!

Access and share today in your Chapter and/or Club promotion efforts.

On the Horizon: 2025 Tax Showdown Holds Potential Impact for Non-Profits

Congress’s major priority for 2025 will be addressing expiring tax cuts and other considerations. As they consider offsetting these tax cuts for the future, they will be seeking new avenues for revenue. One of the areas for new sources identified to offset deficits is new taxation for non-profits (across the 501c spectrum).

Think tanks like the Tax Foundation have already identified the non-profit sector as a potential source of revenue and suggested that non-profits, including 501(c)(7) clubs and 501(c)(6) associations, should face new tax rates.
