The Virginias Chapter, CMAA Education Committee and Board partnered with the National Capital Chapter to hold joint Two Day Education sessions annually. The first session was organized in 2022 hosted in Washington, D.C. by the University club complete with Rachel Sheerin and in 2023 we created a show stopper at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, VA with a chef's panel and a food & Beverage centric program complete with Jennifer Burgess and Annette Whittley of Plus one Hospitality. Managers were also participating in a mixology contest where they had to make their own signature drink with a list of ingredients to be judged. A very serious competition. The Winning Team included, Virginias Chapter's very own, Jason Pace. The show stopper included dinner presented by club chefs representative of each chapter who personally served manager attendees in the new Farmington Country Club Kitchen. This event will be talked about for years to come. A fantastic display of hospitality and skill. We celebrated over 100 in attendance and managers enjoyed the opportunity to connect with peers in each chapter.

Implementation

The Joint Two Day Education was organized through thoughtful partnership and planning from each Chapter's Education Committees. Each event has been successful and Chapter members look forward to future events.
