This initiative has significantly enhanced the Ohio Valley CMAA chapter by introducing innovative ways to engage our members and build stronger relationships within the club community. Partnering with Alex and Nick Winnenberg of OnBrand Podcast Studio allowed us to explore podcasts as a dynamic channel for internal and external communication. By incorporating podcasts into our strategy, we've been able to reach members on a more personal level, using storytelling, sound, and dialogue to foster deeper connections and trust. This initiative has also highlighted the importance of effective leadership communication, particularly in "Learning the Value of a Strong Relationship between the Club President and the GM/COO." The live interview with OVC CMAA President Leilani Sivsov and her Board President served as a valuable case study, demonstrating how strong leadership dynamics can enhance club operations and member satisfaction. Overall, this initiative has positioned our chapter as a forward-thinking organization committed to leveraging modern digital tools and fostering leadership development.

Implementation

The idea was implemented by collaborating with OnBrand Podcast Studio to create a live interview session featuring OVC CMAA President Leilani Sivsov and her Board President. This session was designed as both a learning opportunity and a live demonstration of the power of podcasting as a communication tool. The event was filmed and later shared on platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts, as well as embedded in our chapter newsletters, providing members with easy access to the content. Members were encouraged to participate by submitting questions during the live interview, creating an interactive and engaging experience. The general reaction from chapter members has been overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the innovative approach to learning and the opportunity to explore new communication channels. Feedback has highlighted the value of the podcast format in delivering engaging and accessible content, and members have expressed interest in seeing more of these types of initiatives in the future.
