Summer Sizzle: Chef of the Carolinas & Vendor Show

Carolinas Chapter members, member clubs’ staffs and boards, industry-supporting vendors, and friends are invited to join the Carolinas Chapter and Carolinas Student Chapters for an evening of good eats, vendor engagement and good fun, all for a good cause.  This has enhanced our chapter by building on the chefs involvement, bringing our sponsors and vendors into the fold and supporting our CMAA student chapters financially.

Implementation

We invited club chefs from throughout the Carolinas to come and prepare a specialty item, they donate all food, disposables, etc, and come spend their time feeding everyone and showcasing their abilities! The Vendors are invited to participate in the Vendor Show and share their goods and services. The events run concurrently to provide a fun and vibrant event where people can enjoy food and drink and network with each other and the vendors who support the chapter. The we do a participant vote and a judges vote to name "Peoples' Choice" and the overall "Chef of the Carolinas"! We sell booths to vendors, charge a registration fee to attendees and sell raffle tickets to raise money that supports our Student Chapter Grant fund. The student chapter grants helps send student members from our Carolinas Student Chapters to national events like the National Student Education Conference and CMAA's World Conference.
