CMAA chapter by fostering a deeper sense of self-awareness and interpersonal understanding among members. This educational session provided attendees with a framework for personal and professional growth, aligning with our Chapter’s commitment to leadership development. By exploring the nine personality types of the Enneagram, members gained valuable insights into their behavior patterns, strengths, and areas for improvement. This self-awareness has translated into more empathetic and effective leadership within our clubs, enhancing communication, collaboration, and overall member engagement. The session also encouraged members to celebrate their unique qualities and recognize the diversity of personalities within their teams, promoting a more inclusive and supportive club culture. As a result, our chapter has seen a positive shift in how members approach leadership, leading to more cohesive and dynamic club environments.

Implementation

This idea was implemented as the centerpiece of our Spring Meeting, featuring Elle Zimmerman, an expert in the Enneagram and leadership development. The session was interactive, combining presentations with group discussions and personal reflection exercises. Attendees were provided with materials to identify their Enneagram type and explore its impact on their leadership style. The implementation included follow-up resources, such as reading materials and an online community for continued learning and support. The general reaction from chapter members has been overwhelmingly positive. Many have reported increased self-awareness and improved relationships with their teams and peers. They appreciated the practical applications of the Enneagram in both personal and professional contexts, finding the session to be a valuable tool for ongoing growth. Members have expressed interest in further exploring the Enneagram and similar topics, indicating a strong desire for continued education on personal development within the chapter.
