Entry Details

The idea: to come together as a chapter, in a safe way, to network and take part, together, in World Conference.  Engage with our membership in a time that it has been very difficult to do so, make it fun and comfortable with fun prizes, listen to a keynote presentation, together.

Implementation

Chairman, Jennifer Jacobi, CCM agreed to host the session.  There were very few COVID restrictions at this time in the county her club is located.

Collateral was distributed via email and through our chapter website and mobile app.

We started the day with a chapter business meeting.  This is the only portion of the event that attendees were awarded credit for. 

We viewed the keynote presentation on a large TV screen in the clubhouse.  Only members who were also registered for the Conference received credit from HQ for attendance.

The keynote was followed by happy hour appetizers and beverages.  We gave out fun prizes for those dressed the most comfortably.  The first prize went to Joe Rathkamp, CCM.  Joe has not missed a World Conference in more than 30 years. 

We purchased and distributed copies of John Bryant’s books.

The reaction of chapter members was very positive.  Members were thrilled to come out and share in a piece of the World Conference, together.
