World Conference Virtual Chapter Social

Entry Details

Turning the chapter social to a virtual format allowed the New England Chapter to continue a yearly tradition.  It had been a challenging year for all in our chapter and it was important to give an opportunity to see each other in a relaxed format.  The virtual social also allowed many of our sponsors to attend which provided value to them that the chapter had trouble providing over the year.

Implementation

The New England Chapter social chair, Megan Spies, CCM, volunteered to coordinate the virtual chapter social. She worked with local vendors to put together unique items that were gifted to all attendees.  Each attendee received a bottle of wine long with a cheese, crackers, and jam pairing. Due to the large geographic area of the New England Chapter, the chapter board members and managing director split up the delivery areas and delivered the event boxes to the attendees. 

The reaction from chapter members was beyond what was expected.  The Board received numerous notes in the days following the social from new and veteran members about how nice it was to be able to get together in a social setting.  The chapter members were very appreciative of the time and effort that was put in to make it a special event.
