Special Club Features

Formerly Ansley Golf Club, the 200+ acre tract of land on which our Club sits was purchased from Mr. G. Thomas Bailey and chartered on March 21, 1969. In 1969 the Ansley Membership voted by a narrow margin to sell the Country Club. An organizational meeting was held at The White House a few weeks later. Ninety two Charter Members agreed to fund a new corporation and form the Dunwoody Country Club. A committee was formed to meet with officials of the bank which held the mortgage on Ansley Country Club. The bank agreed to the change and Ansley transferred the entire operation to the new Dunwoody Country Club Corporation. Clubhouse Construction began in 1969 and the new Clubhouse opened Labor Day of 1970 including swimming pool, bath house and four tennis courts. To this day, Dunwoody Country Club has long been regarded as one of the top golf facilities in the southeast.

Ten minutes from Perimeter Mall, and thirty minutes from the heart of Downtown Atlanta, Dunwoody Country Club is a green oasis hidden among the bustling suburbs of Gwinnet, Fulton and DeKalb Counties in Atlanta, GA. The Club offers its members a family friendly atmosphere, an 18-hole championship golf course with full practice facility, 14 outdoor tennis courts, pool complex with snack bar, separate tennis clubhouse with banquet facility, Ballroom (seating up to 400), Private Wing (seating 20, 30, and 50), Recently Renovated Mixed Grill (seating 240), Men’s Lounge, Halfway House, and Wellness Center. A $10 million renovation to existing wellness, halfway house, men’s lounge, and golf shop is expected to be completed in February 2019.

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.
