Rich Harvest Farms has a number of unique dining outlets across the property including an Automobile Museum, which houses the largest banquet room on property.

Special Club Features

Rich Harvest Farms is an ultra-private golf club in Sugar Grove, Illinois.  Located approximately 50 miles due west of Chicago, it was home to the 2009 LPGA Solheim Cup, 2017 NCAA Men and Women Division I Golf National Championships and the upcoming 2019 Western Junior Amateur Championship.  Hosting a number of unique events each year for the membership and owner, Rich Harvest Farms is truly a one-of-a-kind facility for members, guests, and employees.

Brief Job Description

Rich Harvest Farms Golf Club is seeking hospitality interns for the upcoming 2019 season.  Selected individuals will be working in areas including but not limited to a la carte dining, banquet and events, lodging, Golf Operations and Locker Room Operations.  Rich Harvest Farms also provides single-day rotations through the on-property 501 (3)c Kids Golf Foundation, Sales and Marketing Department, Golf Course Grounds Department and an ownership luncheon.  Interns will be able to develop knowledge and skills at a Top 100 facility with lower volume, providing a more thorough understanding of the career they are pursuing.  

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the internship position must be able to work varying schedules, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.  Candidates must be able to withstand prolonged time on their feet, lift 50 lbs without restriction, be able to withstand hot, cold, humid, windy, and other weather conditions throughout the season.  Candidates also must be at least 18+ years of age and possess a valid driver's license.  Prior experience in food and beverage, lodging, golf facilities, and / or private clubs is preferred but not requried.  Candidates should be able to work through the entire season (October 31st) but some summer-only positions may be available.

 

 

 

Educational Requirements

Candidates can be pursuing a degree in hospitality, business, sports management, or any related field.  Recent graduates or upcoming graduates are welcome to apply as well.  Interns will need to relate all academic material for completion in a timely manner.

Other Benefits

Interns will have a pay rate of $11.00 per hour overtime eligible.  Limited on-site housing is available for $150.00 per month which includes utilities, internet, satellite tv, washer / dryer, and own bedroom / bathroom.  Uniforms are provided free of charge; note that individuals are required to bring business formal attire for the internship possibly at their expense.  Pro shop discount of cost +10% on all items.  Golf privileges at restricted times.
