This position will report to the Clubhouse Manager. He or she will work closely with the Clubhouse Manager to oversee outside events in all aspects, including but not limited to the planning and set up of rooms and service plans, using leadership and managerial skills to assign tasks and get banquet staff organized and prepared for each event, uphold SHCC service standards throughout the duration of any and all events. This position requires a results-oriented leader who plays a pivotal role in the organization. The Restaurant Manager/Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the dining rooms and indoor and outdoor dining and events areas. Primary Responsibilities: • Assume ownership of the club’s restaurants operations. • Attracting and hiring the finest front of the house staff. • Develop and execute a detailed training program to exceed club standards. Continuous engagement with members, guests and staff; listening to their concerns and suggestions, observing, assessing and evaluating all areas of responsibility. Financial management of the club’s restaurants including day to day management of labor, supplies, food & liquor costs and capital budget needs. Become the face of the club’s restaurants; be highly visible each day and clearly be the leader of the team. The position reports to the Clubhouse Manager and will have a close working relationship with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Bar Manager to ensure seamless front of the house/back of the house operations. Candidate Qualifications Candidate Qualifications: A successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ service in a similar position at a fine dining restaurant or private club. Prefer college degree in Hospitality Management or similar field. Must feel comfortable with being on the dining room floor, visible and engaging with members.
