CMAA Summits

In 2016, CMAA launched the Summit concept with the first of more than a dozen events occurring to date. A CMAA Summit is meant to be a shorter length program that focuses on one critical topic area.

The Club Leadership Summit (originally known as the Governance/Leadership Summit) is a half-day program for a club manager and his/her club board member(s) that focuses on club governance, club trends, board issues, and communication development between manager and board member. CMAA has been conducting approximately four of these annually, with 25-75 attendees per Summit.

In March 2019, CMAA launched its second Summit to be focused on club communications. The two-day Communications Summit is geared toward those who directly manage or oversee the communications and marketing efforts at the club, or simply are looking to learn more about this very important and constantly-changing aspect of club operations.

In October 2019, CMAA is launching a Capital Improvements Summit, which would focus on topics that include obtaining member approval for the project, contracts/draw schedule, project cost estimating, assembling the team and roles and responsibilities, financing, feasibility and valuation, and project management.
