A Club on the Move!

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The pandemic hit New York City hard - especially the hospitality industry. During these unprecedented times, the Harmonie Club had to reimagine what a club can be through virtual programs that promote camaraderie and fellowship and by keeping our club relevant to our members - wherever they are. Taking our club on the move and bringing activities and programs from NYC to our members in Florida enhanced our operation by keeping members involved while also staying safe with outdoor activities. We have a large demographic of snowbirds who did not return to NYC because of the pandemic. Keeping them all connected with the Club heightened the idea that our club is more than brick & mortar and our members can share a special community anywhere they are.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Using existing contacts, surveying our members, and engaging our concierge service we were able to plan dining and athletic events in Miami and Palm Beach. Members' reactions were great! Members couldn't believe that our NYC Club sent our membership director to Florida and found fun and engaging ways to engage our membership. It was definitely worth it and we will continue to plan more events wherever our members are!
