How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
We broadened our Club’s horizons with a professional development visit from an international club manager and hosted CCV hosted Julian Sansom, General Manager at Llanwern Golf Club in Wales, for two weeks at our Club, The Country Club of Virginia.
This is a mutually beneficial, unique program that allows staff to adopt new practices, traditions, and practices from an international level.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We assigned Julian shifts with different departments so he could see how each operates, allowed him to shadow staff in committee and board meetings to better understand our Club governance, and invited him to leadership meetings to share and exchange ideas.
