A Taste of Kentucky

Description

Idle Hour Country Club brings industry leaders to the club for an evening of education, libations and culinary delights! The evening provides members of all age demographics an opportunity to learn and ask questions regarding timely topics and happenings in the local community. The evening allows our food and beverage team the chance to get creative with themed buffets and cocktails that play off the various topics presented. An honorary stipend and dinner is given to the speaker with a nominal fee is charged for members in attendance.

Implementation

Advertising is done through our monthly newsletter, weekly email blasts and word of mouth. Started several years ago, this quarterly activity still brings out a great crowd. Members are always suggesting topics and speakers. Guest speakers have included Marianne Barnes, the FIRST female Master Distiller in Kentucky, Annie Rouse speaking about the booming Hemp industry (yes...we did serve brownies for dessert) and a former District Attorney speaking about "unsolved mysteries" of the county.
