How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The Membership Development Committee wanted to celebrate the members who had sponsored the newest members over their tenure as members. Since our club is by member referral only, the committee wanted to create a buzz throughout the membership that sponsoring candidates for membership is a great way to support and be active at the Club.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The Membership Development committee created the Ambassadors Club. A select group of members being honored for their dedication to Cherokee and for continually sponsoring superior candidates for membership. In order to be inducted into the Ambassadors Club, one had to sponsor 5 or more new members. The Club had a special commemorative pin and logo created which was presented to the inductees at an induction ceremony and dinner.

Members felt a special pride and were so appreciative of being inducted. These honorees are invited to this new annual event along with any new inductees each year.
