Annual Car Show

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

This event has given us an opportunity to engage and entertainment members of all ages, families with little ones, our teenagers, and older adults, at a large club function that is outside of the traditional holiday events. It has also allowed us to engage our community outside the club grounds.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We first implemented this idea during the Pandemic as a Car Showing and Crawfish Boil - it was a great way to get members to the Club outdoors and allow for social distancing. Each year, we have continued to evolve it based on attendance and feedback to a now stand alone car show event where the cars and activities are truly the focus. We did not host the event in 2023 due to our Centennial Celebrations and members were very disappointed - we brought it back this year with more community engagement and will be expanding to boats and other vehicle types in 2025!
