The Celebration of Service, launched in 2023, has significantly enhanced Overlake Golf & Country Club's operations by continuing to foster a culture of appreciation and recognition. This annual event highlights the dedication of our long-standing Team Members, with over 30 individuals collectively contributing 459 years of service. By celebrating these milestones, the initiative strengthens employee morale, boosts retention, and reinforces the Club's commitment to honoring the hard work of those who contribute to its success every day. The personal involvement of the Board Members and the display of recognition materials further deepen the sense of community and appreciation at Overlake.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The Celebration of Service was implemented as a collaborative effort based on an idea that came from the Social Committee and the Board of Trustees. The event was carefully planned to honor our long-serving employees with a festive luncheon, personalized gifts, and recognition awards. Special banners displaying each Team Member's name, department, and years of service were prominently displayed throughout the Clubhouse. The event received overwhelming support from Club Members, who appreciate the opportunity to witness and participate in the celebration of our dedicated Team. The positive reactions have been reflected in increased Member engagement, as they feel a greater connection to the hardworking individuals who contribute to the Club's success.
