Annual Employee Appreciation Week
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Employee Appreciation Week at Overlake Golf & Country Club has become a beloved tradition that strengthens our Team's morale and enhances Club operations by fostering a sense of community and gratitude. The four-day event, filled with fun activities, delicious food, and recognition of our dedicated employees, boosts employee engagement and ensures our Staff feels valued for their hard work. The inclusion of team-building events like pickleball, golf challenges, and social gatherings promotes camaraderie, while the thoughtful displays and hand-written thank you notes highlight the important contributions of each department. This celebration helps reinforce the Club's commitment to its employees, improving both Staff satisfaction and overall performance.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Employee Appreciation Week is implemented through a well-coordinated series of activities and events designed to engage and celebrate our 250 employees. The week includes catered lunches, friendly competitions, and social events, with thoughtful touches like the display of photos and thank you notes from Members. Club Members have reacted positively, with many actively participating by writing notes of appreciation and expressing gratitude for the Staff's hard work. The banners honoring Tenured Team Members and the overall festive atmosphere have also been well received, creating a deeper connection between the Team and the Membership.
