The annual offsite retreat of the Cosmos Club Management team took place in January 2024 at the iconic Union League of Philadelphia. This event featured insightful presentations from guest speaker Sarita Maybin on "Communicating for Success," a talk by Union League CEO Jeff McFadden titled "Building Your (Great) Granddaughters Club," and an update from Cosmos Club General Manager Mitchell Platt regarding club affairs and strategic planning. Members from both clubs' management teams engaged in individual meetings and enjoyed a variety of exquisite dining experiences throughout the two-day event. To enhance the anticipation for the retreat, a special 'Welcome to Philly' package was sent to each manager and supervisor in advance.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

In response to the pandemic, we had procured specialized delivery packages for sending crab cakes to our members. With the return to normal operations, these high-quality coolers were repurposed to send a selection of Philadelphia's finest specialty items to our team. The excitement this gesture generated contributed significantly to the retreat's success and overall morale boost among the team, ultimately benefiting our members through inspired ideas and enhanced team spirit.
