Anyone Can Cook Series

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Chef Laurent's "Anyone Can Cook" Series is a small and intimate series of cooking classes for the children members of Charlotte Country Club. The relation to a favorite Disney Pixar movie catches the eye of younger members and gives a sense of comfort to an activity that is new and also intimidating to most young children. This series has enhanced our club operation numerous ways. It has been a great program to help introduce our new Executive Chef to our younger members, and gives both the kids and staff a chance to connect on a closer level. Having children around our staff who do not get as much member interaction as others, helps boost morale and sparks inspiration for more fun and exciting ideas to present to the membership. Offering this program benefits the club by bringing in revenue and attracts the several new families that have been joining our club.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Collaborating with Chef Laurent and his French background was the perfect opportunity to relate the series to the children's movie "Ratatouille". Adding small details from the movie to the classes helped made the atmosphere fun and comfortable for the kids, which also helped inspire the meals chosen for each class. The membership reaction to this series has been positive and sparked interest from more age groups who have requested something similar to be added for themselves. Social media posts with photos and videos from these classes saw lots of interaction from the members including likes and comments sharing excitement and their enjoyment of the program. The CCC members are excited for the next series to start, Summer of 2022.
