Arrowhead's SOS Golf Tournament

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

As a longtime supporter of our youth and families involved in Rapid City Area, we would like to give back and encourage all youth sports.

This tournament was open to all sporting groups in our area to apply for and will be a fundraiser that will generate a significant contribution to the chosen group. The tournament will be open to all families/members of the selected sporting group along with all Arrowhead members. Participants do not need to be a member of Arrowhead to participate in the event. The tournament will be capped at 120 participants. A fee of $100 inclusive, per person will be required to register for the event, $50 of every registration will be donated back to the selected sport. This fee will cover the tournament play, lunch, and a cart.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Our members have all jumped on board and are now volunteering to help with this event and also to generate additional fundraising for the selected sports. Local news stations have also begun to spread the word and has given the local community a new perspective of what a private club can do for a community.
