Baking it Forward

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Since 2008, our COO, Thomas Preuml, has been creating Gingerbread houses at the Club to donate to the M.D. Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital. Our community outreach for the Gingerbread project has increased by leaps and bounds.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Other clubs in the Texas Lone Star chapter joined in the holiday cheer-spreading. The Gingerbread Project has grown to include Club fundraisers such as Freezin' for a Reason, GOAT Tennis Tournament, Ornament sales, and our Holiday Lighting Ceremony. This year our Members raised $63,600.
