Idea Fair
Bark Park

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
With the unveiling of our new Bark Park in the Spring of 2024, we have been able to increase the number and size of dog-focused events. We have used this new space for Member enjoyment year-round, and themed events around the recent holiday season. These events included partnering with some incredible local animal rescues and volunteer organizations.
- Doggie Demo Day: Local vendors, Desert Mountain-featured merchandise, local volunteer efforts and even some mobile dog grooming!
- Howl-o-Ween: Spooky treats and gifts, pet costume parade and a great chance for Members to share in character-themed camaraderie.
- Santa Paws: We collected food and toys for a local rescue, provided make-your-own pawprint ornaments and had a visit from the Big Man himself for a photo op!
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We conducted months of research to build an appropriately sized space with world-class amenities for our Members to enjoy at their leisure. Since its opening, Members have fully utilized and loved the dedicated space to meet and play with other furry friends. Our 19,500-square-foot facility with areas for small and large dogs includes an agility course, shade structures equipped with self-draining dog water stations, dog misters and water bubblers.
The type of synthetic turf we installed from K9Grass drains water 100 times faster than standard turf. This means an estimated 55 gallons of water is saved per year for every square foot of natural grass. For us, that’s approximately 717,750 gallons of water each year!
