Idea Fair

Barrel-aged Cocktails

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The barrel-aged cocktail program started out as just a specialty cocktail on the bar. It has since turned into a rotating schedule of different cocktails both classic and some that are new and fun. The barrels have been branded with the club logo and we have recently added custom ice cubes as well. The barrel-aged cocktails take cocktails that might have multiple steps to make them and turned the process into one step of dispensing the cocktail over a large cube and being served.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The members have fully backed the barrel-aged cocktails. The Prohibition Manhattan is standard on the bar and is always available. We also have a smaller barrel that we feature different seasonal barrel-aged cocktails that rotates when the barrel is empty. We have had requests from members to feature the cocktails on their private events or even supply them with a custom WCC barrel for their home. The barrel-aged cocktails have definitely been some of the most popular ordered beverages.
