Basketball Party Bus

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Our members love Creighton Basketball! Which is why we decided to transport them to one of the bigger games of the season on a couple of party buses. We offered beer, appetizers, transportation, and even a ticket to the game if they needed. Before the game, everyone gathered at the club for some appetizers and beverages, enjoying some time to mingle and pep up for the excitement to follow. We had two buses waiting outside the clubhouse, ready to take everyone downtown to the arena. Following the game, we safely drove the members back to the club for after hours.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Because we had a block of fifty tickets to the game, and knowing just how much our membership love the Creighton basketball team, we began to devise a way to incorporate the two together into a member’s event. We have a great relationship with one of the party bus companies in town, and after bringing up the idea, they were more than willing to get involved. After we got the details together, we created a flyer and an email blast, encouraging members to bring their guests and letting us know if they needed tickets when registering for the event. By the time of the event, both buses were sold out and a waiting list had compiled! All the participants had a blast for the evening!
