How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Staff engagement is a top priority for us here at Champions Run! We are always looking for fun and unique ways to keep the management team involved around the club. Thus, the idea was born that came to be known as “Staff Battleship”, which is our real-life take on the famous board game, Battleship. We battled it out in the pool with each staff member floating on their own paddleboard, using a tarp to separate the pool in half and block each team’s view of the other side. We had huge inflatable tanks floating around and launched beach balls as our bombs.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The management team had no idea what was in store for them when they were told to meet down at the pool one afternoon, but in the end everyone had a blast and the game was a hit! We put together a fun video for our members to watch and they loved seeing the staff bond…and get dunked in freezing water! The low-cost activity was inspired by a TikTok video and turned out to be a great team building activity.
