Beating the Cold with the TrackMan Winter Challenge
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
As a way to both highlight new technology at the Farmington Golf Performance Center and keep golfers active during colder weather, the Golf team created the TrackMan Winter Challenge. Members took part in a 15-shot combine test using Farmington’s TrackMan technology in a fun and relaxing environment. The shots ranged from 75 to 125 yards for the men, and 50 to 100 yards for ladies and juniors. After each participant completed 15 shots, an average score was given for proximity to the pin. Prizes were then awarded to the first, second and third place finishers in each division.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
As a result of the TrackMan Winter Challenge, participating members have opted to take more lessons, have improved on their scoring, are more invested in their golf game, and have increased their usage of the Golf Performance Center.
