Beer, Bourbon & BBQ

Description

Canoe Brook hosted our first Beer, Bourbon & BBQ event on a Saturday evening at the Club. Not wanting our setup to go to waste, we surprised our members with a Pop-Up Bier Garten on the Sunday & Monday immediately following our event. Members were notified of the Bier Garten on Sunday Morning with a text message, Instagram post, and email. The Bier Garten featured specialty Oktoberfest beers brought in for the event and a limited menu of some Oktoberfest favorites.

Implementation

Implementing this idea was easy since most of the setup had been completed for our previous event. The biggest challenge was making sure the membership was aware of this “pop-up” beir garten by communicating it through all of our available avenues. We received great feedback about the idea, even from those who had prior plans and were unable to attend.
