How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
We hosted a semi-casual beer pairing dinner, to show appreciation to our beer aficionados as well as collect feedback on what their flavor preferences are. We also had the option to pre-order specialty brews that were made in limited batches. That, added to an elevated, but approachable, pairing menu that utilized several of the beers in the recipes allowed to us to play but maintain pride in our craft.
Lastly, this was the beginning of our spark that each F&B supervisor and manager should continue education; we should have 3 Cicerones on staff by year end!
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We have had demand for a repeat, especially from beer lovers who may get lost in the bourbon and wine crosshairs. Also, beer sales for this brewer have remained steady for the year. Other distributors have clamored to get product in front our membership and we welcome the healthy competition.
