Idea Fair
Behind the Scenes Kids Club
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
In the club industry, we are so used to seeing different operations happen each day that we don’t ever stop and think how many people may not know how things are done. During our 6 week long kids movie camp, our participants were able to film and edit videos that show how things are done at Champions Run “behind the scenes”. One young man chose to tell a story about setting up the driving range. From picking up and washing golf balls to putting them in the caddy to golf, he was able to learn about these processes firsthand and that experience will forever be unique for him.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Each child enrolled in Movie Camp was able to pick something at the club that they’d like to learn more about or see behind the scenes. With the help of our golf experts, we were able to get him into the golf picker and onto the range, which is quite possibly a once in a lifetime experience. Our Champions Run parents are grateful for these types of camps because their children learn so much more than just movie editing; they are able to see things from a different perspective and learn something new about Champions Run.
