Beyond the Blueprint
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
2024 was a landmark year for Chevy Chase Club with major Clubhouse renovations, including the closure of two restaurants and key amenities. To keep members informed, we launched Beyond the Blueprint, an email series offering timely updates, behind-the-scenes insights, and glimpses of what’s to come.
Featured videos included construction updates, like Assistant GM Meredith Picarelli-Khattar’s Hard Hat Tours, and insights from the construction crew on techniques and environmental safeguards. When progress slowed, we shared engaging content, such as the addition of a soft serve machine for the renovated pool canteen and a preview of a signature cocktail that will be featured on the menu of the new restaurant. This mix of updates and exciting teasers kept members informed and connected to the transformation, allowing them to actively participate in the club's evolution.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The response to the Beyond the Blueprint series was incredibly positive. The communications not only kept members informed, but also created a stronger sense of connection to the renovation process. By offering insights into the challenges and progress of the project, as well as exciting previews of new amenities, we were able to sustain enthusiasm and maintain engagement throughout the year.
