Idea Fair
Bluegrass, Bonfire, and Food Truck Rodeo
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
The Bluegrass, Bonfire, and Food Truck Rodeo event returned in November 2017 for a night of awesome food, beverages, music, and Gus's "Pitchfork Roasted Marshmallows". Members donned their blue jeans and boots and rounded up their partners for this outdoor adult party. Guests enjoyed a complimentary apple spiced Jell-O shot on the ride from the Main Clubhouse to the Golf Maintenance Area, home for the event. The campsite's casual yet unique atmosphere included a blazin' hot bonfire, live bluegrass music by "The Homespun Band", bourbon and cigar bar, craft beer, local food trucks, and, of course, a mechanical bull.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Management and staff from five different club outlets came together, using the "One Club Approach" to successfully plan, create, and execute The Bluegrass, Bonfire, and Food Truck Rodeo. The 200+ members who attended were blown away by the unique atmosphere which included a live bluegrass band, a blazing bonfire, three food trucks, two breweries, a mechanical bull, and a one-of-a-kind, hand-made pallet bar. We received a lot of great feedback from this event, some stating they cannot wait until next year’s The Bluegrass, Bonfire, and Food Truck Rodeo.
