Idea Fair
Bourbon Dinner
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Since its inception, Bourbon Dinner has become a premier, exclusive event occurring every other year. This intimate dinner and bourbon tasting provides an opportunity for the culinary team to showcase their talents and introduce flavors not normally found on the standard dining menu. Crisp fall weather provides the perfect seasonal temperatures to accompany a complimentary cigar reception in the evening. Unlike traditional wine dinners that are hosted once per season, Bourbon Dinner offers members a chance to explore different flavors and portfolios. It also allows for reach to members who are not partial to wine. Although wine dinners continue to be successful, Bourbon Dinner adds excitement to the rotation of Club events.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
After seeing the same rotation of members attending seasonal wine dinners, the Food & Beverage team determined that it was time to branch out and introduce a new event. With an already robust collection of bourbons and bourbon drinkers at the Club, adding a Bourbon dinner to the calendar of events just made sense. Since introducing the event, Bourbon Dinner has reached capacity seating with a waitlist and members who attend praise the service staff and culinary team for their efforts and continue to reminisce about the event throughout the year.
