Idea Fair
Bringing Your Members' Favorite Coffee House to the Clubhouse
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Corner Station was created with coffee lovers in mind. Isleworth wanted to create the feeling of your favorite coffee shop right inside the Club’s casual dining outlet, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The idea was to give the membership another reason to come to the Club instead of spending money outside of the gates. We offer various coffee and espresso drinks, house-made smoothies and teas. Our Members can swing by the Club on their way to work to pick up a specialty coffee that was hand-crafted by one of our Isleworth baristas. Our health-conscious Members enjoy our smoothies made with premium brand ingredients. They also have the option to create their own smoothie or to modify our recipes by adding protein powder, peanut butter, chia seeds and other healthy ingredients.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Isleworth launched Corner Station when our casual dining outlet, Champions, was renovated this past year. We invested in an Astoria espresso machine and decided to use Julius Meinl as our primary coffee provider. A certified barista trainer from Julius Meinl was hired to train our food and beverage staff so that each cappuccino would be made consistently and with precision. After the re-opening of Champions, Corner Station was the place to be. Our membership started to bring their work to the Club and would spend hours by Corner Station sipping their favorite coffee drink and typing away on their laptops. Our specialty coffee has been enjoyed all hours of the day, and many Members have grown fond of adding their favorite cordials like Bailey’s and Kahlua to their after-dinner coffee. Our smoothies are another big hit with the membership. Our youngest Members enjoy the different options available while their parents are in disbelief that the kids are enjoying smoothies that have spinach in them!
