How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The idea was to find a way to keep members engaged during a golf course construction project beyond emails and newsletters. We wanted members to have regular access to professionals to see, touch, and ask questions about their course during the construction. This approach provided members a first-hand experience while seeing the construction going on around them. Great questions were asked, stories told, and a lot of excitement was generated.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The reactions to the tours was tremendous. What started out as about 20 people soon became 50-60 members. Members spent time in the Grille before going out to get TO GO beverages and then would get in golf carts and follow us on the guided tour. Members spent time asking great questions and spending time at the Club afterwards talking with friends and building excitement about the changes t took what can be a difficult period of time for many members and made it an exciting time to watch the changes live. This theses tours eliminated rumors and guessing what was happening and replaced it with facts and fun.
