Camp Wildcat!

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

In 1990, Wildcat Cliffs developed an extremely popular family reunion event called "Camp Wildcat", which has been held annually in July ever since. Over the years Camp Wildcat has become a revered mid-summer gathering for the children and grandchildren of the Club's members, and one that has yielded life-long memories for thousands of children (ages 2-90!) . Camp Wildcat is a multi-generational camp which activities include arts, crafts, treasure hunts, hikes, fishing and swimming competitions, relay races, junior golf, tennis, and other fun outdoor activities and picnics - all planned and conducted entirely by Club member volunteers. Camp Wildcat is fully subscribed every year and eagerly anticipated by members and their children and grandchildren.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This idea was implemented by members with assistance from our staff. It is fully attended each year and everyone looks forward to it summer after summer. Family teams are multi-generational and range in ages 2 - 90!
