Campfire Fridays

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The pandemic hit us all hard, and engaging members during that time and trying to give them a sense of normalcy was all of our goals.

One of our simplest ideas, sparked (pun intended) one of our biggest hits and was requested to come back by the members!

We took it back to nature and the original social distancing with our Campfire Fridays!

Each campfire was reserved by a family or small group of friends and we took care of the everything from there, complete with s'mores kits, a full bar with hot beverages, and an acoustic strolling guitar player who would go from campfire to campfire singing songs.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

During the pandemic, we as Club Managers, were a lot like that campfire, we sparked new ideas, kindled strong relationships, radiated warmth in a time of uncertainty, brought people together in different ways when we couldn't, and let those experiences be the storyteller for future events, all while trying to not burn out in the process.

Life is better by that fire. Keep burning.
