Cart Caroling

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear! This event catered to many different demographics of our club. Members that attended were couples, friend groups, and families of all ages. Cart Caroling a few days before Christmas was a fun way to get our members in the holiday spirit while making memories to last a lifetime!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Members were encouraged to bundle up and bring any extra decorations they wanted to add to the golf carts for a “Best Decorated Cart” Contest. We provided multi-colored lights for each cart to start with and a packet of Christmas carol lyrics. There was a grab and go hot chocolate station before starting our caroling. Staff buffer carts were placed at the beginning, middle, and end of the line to play the music. Flyers were placed in mailboxes in advance in order to bring people out of their houses to listen. We drove around one of our golf nines that back up to neighborhood houses and sung our little hearts out! 40 golf carts participated and members were excited for this to become an annual tradition.
