Idea Fair
Chair-ishing Our Team
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
When brainstorming staff incentives, we typically relied on food or gift cards. However, during the demanding holiday months, we noticed our team needed something extra to help them push through. This year, we introduced complimentary 10-minute chair massages for the entire team—and the impact was remarkable.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many sharing that they had never experienced a massage before. The smiles that followed were contagious, and their renewed energy was palpable, just in time for one of our busiest events of the holiday season. This simple gesture not only refreshed our team but also created a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Implementation:
The massage therapists and their chairs were set up in one of our blocked overnight hotel rooms, creating a quiet and relaxing space for the team. We scheduled massages in 10-minute blocks, ensuring everyone had a chance to participate throughout the day. The cost of this initiative was covered by our employee benefit fund and turned out to be more affordable than renting a food truck, which we had done for past events.
Team Members' Reactions:
The reaction from our team was overwhelmingly positive. Many expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to unwind and recharge during the busy season. The thoughtful gesture not only boosted morale but also fostered a deeper sense of appreciation and camaraderie among staff. It was clear this initiative left a lasting impact, making it a valuable addition to our employee wellness efforts.
